Mott MacDonald’s materials and corrosion engineering section based in Altrincham provides specialist engineering support for both in-house projects and individual clients worldwide. The dedicated team of engineers, with backgrounds in materials, corrosion, civil and structural engineering, offer a wide skill base with extensive experience in many aspects of materials engineering.

The section has an international reputation for the development and application of novel and advanced repair techniques and has played a major role in the widespread acceptance of many new methods of durability enhancement for reinforced concrete and steel-framed structures. These include cathodic protection, corrosion inhibitors, fibre composite strengthening and remote corrosion monitoring.
