United Kingdom Nirex Ltd (Nirex) is the body established in the UK having
responsibility for the provision of environmentally sound options for the
disposal of radioactive waste generated by the Nation's commercial, medical,
research and defense activities. This will include all intermediate level waste
and some low level waste (ILW and LLW). As a consequence Nirex has an interest
in understanding the performance of metallic waste containers through the
various phases of waste management.
