+ Meetings Monthly Meeting 8th April (Meeting follows after MCF Aberdeen 08) **Palm Court Hotel 81 Seafield Rd, Aberdeen AB15 7YX 18:00 hr: Complimentary Light Buffet 18:30 hr: *Dr. Brian Jones * Advantica Ltd (A Germanischer Lloyd Company) Inspection and Corrosion Monitoring of Offshore Pipelines The presentation reviews the measures we take to avoid corrosion in offshore pipelines and, in particular, looks at the means we employ to monitor and inspect pipelines to ensure their safe operation. The means by which we inspect pipelines is briefly reviewed and the problems of inspecting the more complex pipelines, in terms of variable diameter and alloyed materials, are discussed.
