Midland Branch Meeting
9th March 2010
Please see above a Map associated with the Midland Branch Meeting on 9th March 2010. The full programme for this event is available for download at:
http://www.icorr.org/files/midland-branch-programme.pdf
The Food menu options cover all tastes and requirements, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
Many Thanks go at to Birmingham University and Halcrow for sponsoring this event.
GENERAL
We have decided to give a generous amount of time to AOB right at the foot of the Programme, this is because there is a Council Meeting on 10-03-10, meaning your questions and topics can be put council within hours, not days or months. This also shows that the Midland Branch Committee is working for its Members and values input from all. Please print programme and bring with you.
DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE
General maps and directions can be found at:
http://www.about.bham.ac.uk/maps/edgbaston.shtml
There is a station “University” on campus, so this is the easiest way to arrive as traffic can be VERY bad around 5.30 pm. If you can, best go by train.
The School of Metallurgy and Materials is G6 in the Green Zone:
http://www.about.bham.ac.uk/maps/pdfs/edgbaston-map-green-09.pdf
Anyone who is driving should park in the North Car Park (pay and display), not around the school itself as that is badged parking only.
Above is a local map showing parking and the “IRC Entrance” to the School of Metallurgy and Materials. Notices will be put up outside with directions.
The venue is the “IRC Study Area” on the first floor by the stairs.
