Assistant Corrosion Engineer Salary £neg – dependent upon experience

A new vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Corrosion Engineer to join a small but established team, based at our Telford Head Office.  CCSL provide consultancy services in the field of corrosion management and repair.  As part of the Freyssinet Group we provide services to internal and external clients through over 50 offices world wide.  Suitable applicants will either be in the possession of or working towards a technical or engineering qualification, preferably in civil engineering.  Whilst it is not essential, a knowledge of corrosion or cathodic protection would be advantageous.   

The main duties of the role will involve: 
Assisting with:
• Preparation of designs for corrosion monitoring and repair systems  including cathodic protection
• Provision of professional solutions to corrosion problems, for a variety of clients and structures
• Preparation of detailed and accurate technical reports, drawings and specifications
• Pricing for cathodic protection and other electrochemical repair works
• Site survey, supervision and support
• Customer liaison 

Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate an initial level of knowledge and qualification within the engineering sector combined with a strong customer ethos and innovative approach to problem solving.  It is essential that applicants are able to produce coherent and accurate written reports to a high standard and are completely computer literate.  A knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous.  Applicants should be aware that the role will require travel to site locations throughout UK and abroad.
