Why attend this course?

The course and examination are in compliance with BS EN 15257:2006 and is suitable for candidates with the requisite qualifying experience; see separate panel headed Certification to BS EN 15257. The course is also suitable for those who took the Level 1 training course and require an appreciation of the protection of reinforced concrete structures at this higher level without pursuing certification.

Duration: 5 days Mon-Fri, or 1 day over 5 weeks

Special note: Applicants must either hold ICorr Level 1 Cathodic Protection Technician – Reinforced Concrete Structures or have at least 1 year approved experience or, where the applicant does not hold this certification has attended the training course or satisfies the educational and experience requirements set out in ICorr REQ DOC (CP).

Why attend this course?

This course is designed to prepare individuals for the ICorr Cathodic Protection Technician Level 1 examination and certification of competence by ICorr. The course is suitable for candidates with or without experience in cathodic protection and will also be applicable to those who require a knowledge of cathodic protection but do not wish to take an examination. Most applications of cathodic protection are addressed although the main emphasis is applied to reinforced concrete. Certification requires a minimum of 1 year experience in cathodic protection of steel in concrete, this can be before or after the course and examination. The application form for the course has provision for experienced applicants to record their experience which is then passed to ICorr for assessment and issue of the certificate after the candidate has successfully sat the examination.

Why attend this course?

This course is designed to prepare individuals for the ICorr Cathodic Protection Technician Level 2 examination and certification of competence by ICorr. Any information in the syllabus below which is repeated from the Level 1 syllabus is dealt with in greater depth. The course is suitable for candidates with experience in cathodic protection and holding an ICorr Cathodic Protection Technician Level 1 certificate. Certification requires 2-4 years experience in cathodic protection of steel in concrete (subject to the candidates technical education level) this can be before or after the course and examination. The application form for the course has provision for experienced applicants to record their experience which is then passed to ICorr for assessment and issue of the certificate after the candidate has successfully sat the examination.
