DESCRIPTION:Join ICORR Midlands for in-person site visit of the DNV Loughborough lab facilities and AGMEvent Programme: \n13:30 – 14:00: Arrival14:00 – 15:00: Lab Tour15:00 – 16:00: Presentations (Case Studies)16:00 – 16:30: AGM \nPlease RSVP latest by 23rd April 2025 by email to: Uzma.Anjum@dnv.com \nPlaces limited to 30 members and is on First Come First Serve Basis \nIn spite of well managed design\, construction\, operation and maintenance activities\, there are often numerous factors which can lead to a failure of assets within the energy industry.  Determining the technical root cause of such incidents is often only part of the story\, with inadequate materials and mechanical knowledge\, unsatisfactory management of change processes\, and inefficient organisational communication often contributory factors. \nWhat to Expect: \nThe DNV Integrity Advisory team based in Loughborough (dnv.com) has a broad range of experience relating to failure investigations\, engineering studies\, and risk management in the energy industry and related sectors. Having recently completed refurbishment of their materials laboratory\, they would like to invite ICORR members to attend a tour of these facilities\, alongside a presentation providing an overview of their experiences helping clients to understand the primary cause of a range of failure case studies from the renewable\, hydrocarbon and electricity industries. \nLight refreshments (tea\, coffee etc.) will be provided on arrival and during breaks.
