Following the Materials Degradation conference in Nancy in 2023 and the Cathodic Protection – Marine Sector day in Brest in 2024, the “Biodétérioration des Matériaux” and “Protection Cathodique” commissions of CEFRACOR have decided to join forces to organize a joint conference on the theme “Durability and Prevention of Microbiological Degradation in Marine Structures.” Indeed, it seems interesting to share/compare our knowledge on the impact that bacteria could have on cathodic protection and vice versa.

This conference is a place for exchanges open to all academic and industrial stakeholders concerned with issues between microorganisms, materials, and cathodic protection, including beneficial effects.
