Through hands-on activities, expert-led sessions, and networking opportunities, YEP helps bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world engineering challenges.
What You’ll Gain
- Technical Skills – Learn cutting-edge corrosion prevention, monitoring, and mitigation techniques.
- Industry Insights – Hear directly from leading engineers, scientists, and industry experts.
- Professional Development – Build leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Networking Opportunities – Connect with peers, mentors, and future collaborators.
Programme Highlights
- Workshops & Training Days – A series of 8 Interactive, practical learning sessions.
- Case Study Challenges – Work in teams to solve real-world corrosion problems.
- Mentorship – Guidance from experienced professionals.
- Prizes – The Winning case study also wins a fantastic Prize
- Chartership – Participation in this programme also aids in gaining CEng, CSci or MIcorr Status
Who Can Join?
The Young Engineers Programme is open to:
- Engineers in the early stages of their career (typically under 35 or within 5 years of entering the corrosion field)
- Recent graduates in engineering or materials science
- Young professionals eager to expand their corrosion expertise
