ACI and ICRI publish new guide

The American Concrete Institute and the International Concrete Repair Institute have published an updated “Guide to the Code for Assessment, Repair and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures.”

The guide is intended to provide professionals with the knowledge, skill and judgment to interpret and properly use the ACI 562, “Code Requirements for Assessment, Repair and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures.”

This updated guide has three main components:

  • Easy chapter navigation for clarity and understanding of the relative portions of ACI 562 Code;
  • An Appendix B, providing an overall view of the new ACI 563, “Specifications for Repair of Concrete in Buildings”;
  • Project examples illustrating the process of carrying out a concrete building assessment, repair, rehabilitation or strengthening project from inception through completion.

The guide is available in both printed and digital formats. For more information visit concrete.org/store or icri.org

Due to ongoing global health concerns and travel restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the local organising committee of EUROCORR 2021, in consultation with the EFC were compelled to cancel the physical EUROCORR 2021 congress scheduled for September in Budapest in order to protect attendees, staff, and the EFC community.

Nevertheless, EFC wishes to continue the exchange of scientific results and networking within the international corrosion community, and as such EUROCORR 2021 will be transformed into a virtual event.

The new registration fees and revised information for the virtual congress will be published soon on the EUROCORR 2021 website.
